Making its world-wide debut is the new SLI-80HS (Heritage Series) integrated amplifier. As the new generation of the renowned SLI-80, it offers several new circuit features, including solid state rectification and cosmetic enhancements.
Cary Audio will also be showing our two newest network audio players at this year’s show. Replacing the awarding winning DMS-500, the DMS-550 and DMS-600 take the DMS platform to the next level.
As the direct replacement model and building on the success of the DMS-500, the DMS-550 now includes a built-in Class-A headphone amplifier, bringing new dimension and functionality to our DMS product range. Other technological enhancements include: the newest AKM4493EQ DACs;aptX™ HD 24-bit/48kHz high resolution Bluetooth; an optimized MQA decoder which provides superb rendering up to 768kHz; and MU-MIMI Wi-Fi protocol.
The DMS-600 represents an entirely new level of sonic capabilities to the DMS platform. A true reference unit, the DMS-600 is built around the flagship VERITA AKM4497EQ DAC’s offering breathtaking air, dimension, and musicality. All the same new technological enhancements of the DMS-550 are also found in the DMS-600, sans the headphone amplifier, but it does include Bluetooth output for use with Bluetooth headphones or speakers. As a reference unit, the DMS-600 includes heavy aluminum anti-resonant chassis, anti-resonant cone feet, and anti-RF chassis coating.
In addition, Cary Audio will be showing off its new SLI-100 vacuum tube integrated amplifier. The SLI-100 is a dual mono design with powerful KT-150 output tubes that offers extraordinary musicality driving either speakers or headphones, thanks to its reference level headphone circuit.
We will also have our extremely powerful SI-300.2d solid-state integrated amplifier/DAC available for listening to demonstrate Cary Audio’s prowess in solid-state amplification.
As for speakers, Cary Audio has partnered with Fyne Audio, a relatively new speaker company getting rave reviews for its products from around the world. Fyne Audio is based in Scotland. We will switch between their flagship F1.10 and the F702 in our system demonstrations.
Also, on hand will be our AiOS all-in-one receiver driving the Fyne Audio F500s. Together, this pairing is quite the compact audiophile mini-system.
