There’s something special about hearing from a customer who has been enjoying Cary Audio equipment for more than 25 years.
Recently, a longtime Cary Audio customer shared his experience with the CAD-211FE monoblock power amplifiers on CaryDirect. His story began more than two decades ago with a phone call to Cary Audio founder Dennis Had and continues today with the CAD-211FE at the heart of his system.

“My 25 Years+ of Audio Enjoyment with Cary Audio Design Equipment”
It was over 25 years ago when I was searching for a vacuum tube amp to power my Magnepan speakers. Back then, internet search engines were more like Rolodexes, so I relied on The Absolute Sound and Stereophile magazines to learn about gear. I decided to call Cary Audio and ended up speaking directly with Dennis Had. He was generous with his time and helped me pick the CAD 280SA V12i Special Edition, which was a beautiful match for my setup.
Fast forward 25 years, and I’m now the very happy owner of the CAD 211FE mono-blocks. I have them paired with my long-time companion, the CAD SLP98 preamp, an Esoteric K-03 DAC, and an Eversolo T-8 streamer, driving my upgraded Von Schweikert VR4jr speakers as well as completely rebuilt Klipsch Chorus IIs in my dedicated treated room.
I actually wrote pages of notes tracking the burn-in process and weeks of tube rolling. What impressed me most is that no matter what changes I made, the 211 amps translated every single variation with noticeable clarity. Now that everything has settled in, the sound is clear, rich, incredibly balanced, and delivers total enjoyment of music like I have never heard before.
