To perform the software update to your Cinema 11a, download files listed to the right. First, review the README .pdf file containing directions on how to complete the upgrade. Next, you will need to install the Flash Magic program to your PC. Once the Flash Magic program has been installed, you can then use the Hex Code Software to perform and complete the update.
WinZip software is required to access the downloaded files.

IMPORTANT! Owners of Cinema 11a models beginning with serial numbers 09xxxxxxx should only install software on their unit that is specified for units with a 09 serial number. Installing a version of software that is not specifically designed for the 09 serial number may damage the unit and render the Cinema 11a inoperable.

It is important to note that there are two different versions of both the HDMI software and audio software. There is one version of the software combo for Cinema 11a units beginning with serial number 08xxxxxx and a separate version of software for Cinema 11a units beginning with serial number 09xxxxxx. Units that have 08 serial numbers must be returned to the factory to have the software installed due to the fact that the HDMI board of the 08 unit cannot be updated in the field.

UPDATE: Some users are having trouble un-ziping files after downloading with Internet Explorer. We suggest trying with Firefox or Safari if you are having issues, or download unzipped files to the right.
